Mobile HIV Testing
Do you wish to be tested for HIV? The Hope House Mobile Van Unit would
like to help you. We have bilingual counselors and the test is completely
confidential. You will get your results in 20 minutes (more
information in English, more
information in Spanish)
Parenting Education Classes
We receive instruction in many facets of life skills - how to drive, how to use the computer, but our parenting skills are often just a reflection of the way we were raised. Parenting Education Workshops are designed to provide education and alternatives to parents with the goal of improving relationships between the parent and child. Five-week workshops are based on the STEP method focusing on child development stages, parenting methods, and discipline techniques. Video clips aid the facilitator and participants in active discussion. Ongoing classes are available at Hope House. We welcome opportunities to present the workshops off-site at the invitation of schools, community and social organizations.
Strengthening Families Program
Come join us at Hope House and be a part of our unique Strengthening
Families parent - child program. This FREE 14 week program will
give your entire family valuable tools to improve your families
communication; and will teach parents and children how to effectively deal
with disagreement and quarreling. Parents will also learn how to help guide
their children to make good choices concerning the challenges they may face.
