A Typical Day at Hope House
|

|
 |
In a single day, we may be found:
Installing safety grab bars or repairing a leaky faucet in a disabled gentleman’s home through our Fix-It program. While in another home, a Chore Assistant will be vacuuming the carpet and changing the bed linens of a senior who is dependent on her wheelchair.
Counseling a six year old boy who is accustomed to standing at the window with a toy gun poised to protect his mother from the frequent beatings he had witnessed.
Transporting a mother with HIV/AIDS who is unable to drive herself to a medical appointment. Our team of professional staff and
volunteers are helping families with necessary food and personal supplies, counseling, housing and spiritual support.
Facilitating a Strengthening
Families Program. A program that will give your family valuable
tools to improve your families communication; and will teach parents and
children how to effectively deal with disagreement and quarreling.

Each day, volunteers come prepared to help with clerical functions, mow a senior’s lawn or clean the gutters, help with a little housekeeping, visit with a client in the hospital, prepare a dish to share in our potluck social, provide phone support, and so much more.
With seven distinct departments, our Social Service Programs meet a multitude of needs and offer caring individuals the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
When hope seems like a word with no meaning...
come to Hope House where lives are forever changed.
