Home Safety Modifications For Your Loved Ones!

Hope House’s Operation Fix-It Aging In Place Specialists will come and talk with you about safety issues.

They will focus on helping you maintain a safe environment by addressing:

  • Problems with wandering
  • Furniture placement enabling easier maneuvering
  • Bathing and toileting
  • Using the stairs
  • Managing changing behaviors

Operation Fix-It will suggest small scale modifications and products that can provide comfort and make caring for a loved one easier such as installation of grab bars and safety gates.

Home modifications and products may be provided at no cost!
Income Criteria

  • For 2 person households (a person with dementia and his or her spouse), the income requirement is $40,000 per year or less.
  • If the person with dementia lives with a family member who is not a spouse, the income eligibility applies only to the person with dementia; this income must be $20,000 or less per year.

For more information, or to refer a family, contact Hope House at
